New Schools Chosen for 2016/2017

Tororo Rock in Eastern Uganda

I'm so excited to announced that we've just identified our next schools for our 2016/2017 project. Daystar School founder and director Peter Kalangwa worked hard to identify two schools that are in need of library materials for their students, and he just let me know that he finally has two great candidates for us!

The Sanyu Nursery School is located in just 9 kilometers from the center of Kampala. The school currently has 100 students enrolled, ranging in ages from 3 years to 10 years. For our second school, we'll be traveling a little further afield to the Tororo district in Eastern Uganda. About 200 km from Kampala the St. Clement Junior School, is in a rural community and provides the only education option for local children. It's a slightly smaller school with only 85 students.

We'll be photographing the schools in the next month or so, so more information to come! But we have our schools. They're excited and counting on us! So start saving those books.
