Introducing Clement Junior School in rural Uganda

Clement Junior School is the rural Ugandan primary school partner for 2017. And they are eagerly awaiting books for their school library! The school is located in the Tororo district, in the Eastern region of Uganda. Like much of Uganda, the local economy is dependent on agriculture. In fact, 75 percent of the population are subsistence farmers and rely on unmechanized implements like hoes to work the land. This small school is compromised of about 85 students ranging in ages from 3 to 16. To accommodate the books they'll be receiving, the school is converting one of their lockable and more spacious classrooms into a library space.
